This effect is perfect for close-up and/or stage, and it can be presented as pure mentalism or even comedy magic!

A finely decorated wooden jewelry box is presented. Resting inside, there are 5 different rings in contrasting colors, designs, and stones set on the inside portion of the box.

A spectator is invited to remove any ring she likes (there is no force). After she has done so, the magician removes the inside portion of the box, explaining that before she made her choice, he made a prediction. Shown inside the box is the exact same ring that she had chosen earlier. There is nothing else inside the box.

The spectator picks up one of the rings, and when the box is shown inside, she will see that there is a special note wrapped and tied up with a ribbon onto which the color of the jewel to be chosen is already written!
